School of Earth & Environment, Rowan University

Dr. Kenneth Lacovara is the founding dean of Rowan University’s new School of Earth & Environment, established in 2016.

The School prepares students to address the world’s most pressing environmental issues. Through the study of geosciences, students join the next generation of scientific leaders as they work on some of the most dramatic global challenges of our time. Among them, environmental sustainability, energy, and climate change. Graduates from the program pursue careers in consulting, industry, government, foundations, and research and teaching, including in the fields of applied geology, paleontology or public policy. Students in the School have the opportunity to study the Earth at the Rowan Fossil Park and at sites throughout the world.
